How we fill our days

Thank you for praying for Mike to
end the semester well. He is catching up
on lots of school work. All of his papers
are finished and he only has reading and
studying left. Praise the Lord! One of his
final exams was canceled, so now he has
even more time to catch up.

Now that the weather is turning warmer,
Mike enjoys sitting outside to do his reading
and studying. Zane really enjoys being outside
also. He is going to be a real outdoor guy!

As much as we try to avoid it,
Zane loves watching TV. Here he is
turning halfway around in his
swing straining to watch TV.
We much prefer for him to
read his books like the picture below.

Just thought we would leave you
with a big smooch from Zane.

Please lift Mike up

As you can obviously tell, most of the postings on this blog will be devoted to Zane. We want family and friends to be able to keep up with how he is doing. However, it is also so you guys can keep up with us. Today, I just wanted to ask that when you read this, you would whisper a little prayer for Mike. He is in the last 2-3 weeks of the semester. He still has about 6 weeks worth of work to do and very little time to get it done. He is a bit stressed and is way tired. Please lift him up and ask that he finish well. Ask God to help him find the time needed to complete the assignments and study for the finals. Also ask that his attitude during this hectic time would be honoring to God. Thanks for standing in the gap for us!

Fun times

God has blessed me with some friends
to play with. I love having playdates
with them. Above is Caleb and me.
Below is me with Seth and Hannah.

It's the smile that keeps me out of
trouble. I mean, how can anyone stay
mad at me when they see this
big toothless grin.

Daddy just loves me in my camo.
He can't wait to get me out in the woods
and on the 4-wheeler. Now we just need
to get back to a place that has some woods!

Here is Zane is his big boy chair. He is
learning to sit in it to eat. However, he still
hunkers down a little too much. Makes
for some messy eating!

Visiting with Aunt Karen and family

This week Zane took his first plane trip. Marcy and Zane went to visit her sister in North Carolina. We surprised Mamaw who was also there for a visit. Zane did great on the plane - even when we had to sit on the tarmac for 2 1/2 hours. Unfortunately, Mike did not get to join us. He had to stay behind and work and try to catch up on some school stuff. It was difficult for Mike to be away from Zane for the first time, but he made it. It was nice to be back home together as a family.
