Fall Photo Shoot
We took a beautiful fall afternoon to try and shoot some autumn pics. They really turned out great! Zane enjoyed playing at the park. I don't even think he realized he was having pictures taken after the initial attempts to get both boys together.

Gabe's Growing Up Fast
Here are some recent pics of Gabe. He is already 3 months old! He is getting so big!
Zane's 2nd Birthday!
It is so hard to believe that my baby is already 2!! My how the time flies. We celebrated Zane's 2nd birthday with a party at the park. The weather was absolutely beautiful! The kids loved playing on the slides and swings. I think Zane took half of the park home with him on his clothes, arms and legs. A good time was had by all.

Growing Up So Fast
We have had several of you asking for updated pictures of Gabe - so here they are. It is unreal how quickly little ones change at this age. Gabe is doing great sleeping at night. He is beginning to learn how to fall asleep on his own without out too much fussing during the day. He picks that little head up quite nicely now too. We are even getting a few smiles, although it is still a little early to say that he actually is smiling at us. Maybe it is the gas like everyone says.

As you see from this picture of Zane, he is just ALL BOY. He was outside "riding" a neighbor's tricycle (which is really just pushing it with his feet). He decided to ride DOWN the steps. But you know... he was really just scared by the fall. Once I got to him and picked him up, he stopped crying. I don't think the boo-boo really bothered him all that much - until I had to clean it up.

Here is a little video of Zane learning his numbers. We are also beginning to work on letters, colors and shapes. He is repeating then quite well. There are a few that he will say the number or letter that follows the one we are trying to get him to say. What can I say ... Zane is brilliant.
And finally, here is Mommy with her two precious little men.

Oh Brother!
Zane is getting more used to having Gabe here. He still does not want to hold him too much, but he loves patting him and sitting by him. I think he might be understanding what it means to have a brother. I am still just in awe at the TWO precious blessings that God has blessed us with.

Gabriel Seth Houston
We wanted to show you the newest addition to our family. Gabriel Seth Houston was born this past week. Zane was excited to welcome his new little brother into the world. The birth was quite interesting. Marcy was already dilated 5 cm a few days before Gabe's birth. When he decided to make his entrance into the world, he came in a HURRY! Marcy had her first hard labor contraction at 4:30 PM when her water broke. We rushed to the hospital, checked in at 5:00 and Gabe was born at 5:27 PM. Can you believe it!! Neither could we. Hope you enjoy the pictures of our newest gift from God!

It's been a LONG time!
Wow! I had gotten so much better about posting, and then I just fizzled out. I know it is not the real reason (Laziness is the real reason), but I will blame it on being pregnant. I am almost 36 weeks pregnant. That is further that I got with Zane, who was born at 32 weeks. I have been on bed rest (so you would think that I would have been able to do a post by now!!), and should get off of bed rest this week! WooHoo!!
Anyway, I thought that I would update the blog with some of the most recent pics of our most precious little gift from God. Zane is really growing up so fast. He is already 20 months old! It is just so amazing how time flies. He is about to be a big brother. We have tried to explain to him what a "brother" is, but he really can not understand yet. I am curious to see what happens when he realizes that this little bundle is not going away. We have been praying for a smooth transition into to siblinghood for him.
He is getting taller and is talking so much. We are understanding more and more of it, but of course there are still all those jabber words that don't make much sense. He has moved into his big boy bed and is doing great. He has only gotten out one time. Usually he will just sit in there and chatter until we come get him. What a good little man we have.
Well, on to the cute pics and videos. These are some highlights of the time we spent in Louisiana with family in April and some times when Mema and Mamaw came to Louisville. Enjoy!
Sorry this one is sideways also. I keep forgetting. It is cute anyway.

Having so much fun!
Here are a few videos of some of the fun things Zane has been doing. Oh, to go back and enjoy life this much. It is crazy how we as adults get so caught up in the daily burdens of life that we forget to just enjoy it. Each day is a blessing from God. Slow down today and do something fun for yourself.

Christmas 2007
Well, it has only taken me 2 months to get these Christmas pictures up. I guess things got pretty busy with the holidays and all. We had a wonderful, long visit with family. We were blessed to be able to stay in Ruston for almost two weeks! We spent good quality time with both sets of grandparents and with Mike's brother's family.
We were most blessed in being able to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ with Zane. He is beginning to be able to sit longer and listen as we share Bible stories. We read of all the events leading up to the birth of Christ, and then to share the story of Jesus' birth on Christmas Day - a family tradition.
I pray that your Christmas was wonderful as you visited with friends and family. But most importantly, I pray that it was meaningful as you remembered and celebrated the Greatest Gift of all - Jesus Christ.

Graduation Day!!
First Word!
We have been anxiously awaiting Zane's first word. He babbles all the time, but no understandable words. Finally the other night during our family worship time, he decided to say something - "Amen". We were so excited. Maybe now that he has started down the road to actual words, they might start coming a little quicker. Here's our "Amen" video. Sorry the video is sideways. Hope you enjoy it anyway!
